I have the following update for the Pier.
Total fund so far £22980.
Inspire Inveraray have been awarded £17,000 from the Scottish Land Fund Grant.
This is a 2-stage application process, the £17,000 awarded is for the pier to be valued by a surveyor and funding towards a structural survey on the Pier.
Surveyors have been contacted, and hopefully there will be some activity on the pier soon.
Stage 2 will be for an application to be submitted for up to 95% of the survey valuation which will be completed in stage 1.
A grant application has also been submitted by Inspire Inveraray to Garfield Weston for purchase and restoration costs.
Inspire Inveraray are also in the process of submitting an application to the Hugh Fraser Foundation.
Inspire Inveraray are also working with Inspiralba on a business plan which is near completion. The big hold up is trying to find a quote for insurance for the pier, which is proving to be a niche market.
