General Meeting held on Wednesday 6th July 2022 at 7.00pm in the Loch Fyne Hotel

  1. Approval of previous minutes

Alistair approved, Arend seconded.

  1. Treasurer’s report

The General account balance is £29496 of which £23262 is the pier, £1776 is for the notice boards, £1119 for the micro grant, £2078 for the minibus, £500 for the feasibility report for the avenue and £1099                for the action plan.

The micro-grant balance will be £1776 (held in GA account at time of report), £500 for Cadets is still to be paid

The Clachan Windfarm has £13755 available.

Events and displays has £3571.

Treasurers Report- Inspire

Accounts are finalised and lodged with Companies House and Oscar.

Grant request from Royal British Legion for tent approved, Carpet Bowls and Army cadets both approved.

Nothing of note.

  1. Inspire Inveraray

Inspire Inveraray have agreed to become a member of DTAS (Development Trusts Association Scotland).  A newsletter has been circulated via Facebook.  Alistair will arrange a party to clean the slip on
9/10 July ahead of the valuation on 11th July 2022.

Fundraising

Picnic on Front Green – 23rd July 2022, 2-6pm.  Bottles required for the bottle stall. Post meeting note:  Alcohol licence granted

Robin Campbell is working with Jacquie Kerr to produce a leaflet.

It was suggested that donors could “buy a brick” and their names would be displayed on the wall which separates the stone part from the timber section of the pier.

  1. AOCB
  1. Phone box – Bill Nelson will supply Defibrillator free of charge. Garret will instal a LED light into the phone box.
  2. A Notice to Mariners needs to be in place to stop seafarers trying to use the pier. Signs need to be displayed to say pier is closed.
  • Community Action Plan – ready for distributing to the community. Quotes obtained for printing.
  1. Weeding to be organised.
  2. Highland Games stand – ideas/volunteers required.
  3. Swing Park requires refurbishment and matting under new equipment required to stop ground around them becoming muddy.
  • All weather pitch and/or football pitch at school. Discussed the need for one or both.  Post meeting note:  spoke with Susan Tyre who suggested we meet with the interim head teacher after the school holidays.
