Linda welcomed all to the meeting and thanked the Loch Fyne Hotel for their hospitality and thanked Robin Campbell for his website statistics.

6.       Three members of Furnace Community Council joined the meeting to discuss the situation with the Doctors’ surgery and the value of sharing ideas and discussing common issues.

Lights and electricity supply will be in place in the next 2 weeks.

Report received and contents noted.

  1. Correspondence

Linda and Tracy met with Anne from Helensburgh Pier Regeneration group to share our journey to regenerate Inveraray pier.

There are pot holes outside Nicol Hall – Al will investigate the best way to repair.

  1. Licencing/Planning applications

 

Nothing of note.  These will no longer be automatically submitted to the Community Council, they can be viewed from Argyll & Bute Council’s website here

  1. Fundraising

 

Plans being made for an auction later this year.

£500 from the ARCK fund has been donated to Inveraray Primary School to be used to support the children on their school trip to Benmore Gardens.

  2. Doctor’s surgery – no further correspondence.
  3. Minibus – work is required on the minibus (including new turbo) – Al to apply for grant from Clachan Flats.
  • Defibrillator – Barn Brae – Al checked expiry date on pads and confirmed that the machine is in good condition.
  1. Defibrillator – phone box – Church Square – currently we do not have a defibrillator in the phone box beside Inveraray Jail. The British Heart Foundation have funding available for defibrillator packages so we have applied for one.  Application for a grant has been unsuccessful.
  2. Community Council interim by-elections – nomination papers will be available soon.
  3. Inveraray Screen– Argyll & Bute Council are investigating why the lime render is coming away from the structure.
  • Swing Park inspections – Linda and Aly met with Iain Macleod of ACHA who agreed that they can inspect our outdoor fitness equipment on our behalf.
