The Scottish Land Fund awarded Inspire Inveraray with a grant to fund posts to develop the Pier and its restoration and operation. We are delighted to welcome two new members.

Ross

Ross has been appointed as the Pier Development Administrator. Ross relocated to Inveraray with his wife in September 2023. They are both originally from Glasgow and know the area well from numerous visits over the years, and how beautiful it was in advance!

Ross previously worked in the wine business for 16 years and now owns and runs an online business that sells vintage art prints. Given his new surroundings, he has said that he ” is very keen to be involved in such a worthwhile, local project that Inveraray Pier clearly is.”

Ross and his wife are enjoying life in Inveraray very much so far, as is their 5 year old black Labrador (Crosby) who just loves meeting new friends on his trips into town.

We would also like to introduce you to our new social media administrator Amanda Crawford.

Amanda

She was born and raised in Inveraray but left once she reached adulthood to study in Glasgow and then travelled to the other side of the world to experience life in Australia. After her travels, she decided to move back to Inveraray permanently where she is now the friendly face behind the reception desk at The George Hotel. Amanda is “very excited to take on her new role for Inspire Inveraray to help develop community projects such as the restoration of the pier in which she has fond memories of from childhood.”
